Michel-Paul: Artist, Teacher, Friend

I was born in 1960 and raised in Aroostook County in Maine. I began painting at the age of fifty when I had a serious health scare. I decided to live by the mantra, “Life is short, do what makes you happy.” Since the time I was a child, I have always had a passion for art and hoped to one day be able to paint and sell my art once I had retired. Now I am finally living out my dream as an artist fortunate enough to both live and paint in his home. I am primarily self-taught. I did take one brief beginner course when I began my journey as an artist, but the rest is history.

Before pursuing my dream as an artist, I worked in the food and beverage industry. When the opportunity arose to open my art studio, I wanted to create a place where people could come together, talk about art, sit, relax, observe, and feel comfortable. I wanted to encourage parents to bring in their children and introduce them to the amazing world of art. I hope I’m on my way to accomplishing that.
