Miriam Webber

Bold lines and patterns bring abstract qualities to familiar objects.

“Painting became a form of therapy I didn’t know that I needed. When the outcome of things in life feels out of control, I know that I do have control over the outcome on my canvas.”

Miriam draws inspiration from things found in nature with a heavy influence of imagination to create fun compositions. Bold lines and patterns bring abstract qualities to familiar objects. She uses bright and unique color combinations to infuse elements of play into her paintings.

Born and raised in Central Maine, Miriam had a strong interest in the arts at an early age. Having parents and grandparents with diverse creative abilities helped foster her love for artistic expression. Although painting took a back seat while she attended cosmetology school and paved her path as a hairstylist, it was a hobby she frequently revisited. After having her first child Miriam returned to painting as a way of finding herself in a familiar medium.

Miriam’s 5 year old son is also a budding artist. Though they are not currently on display, Here are some of his works.
